Ishiki [意識]
Situational: manner of being situated; location or position with reference to environment.
Awareness: the state or condition of being aware; having knowledge; consciousness; having understanding of things.
Situational awareness: Situational awareness is knowing where you are and what is going on around you, allowing individuals and groups to be more alert and informed and to make better decisions(reduce frictions leading to conflict and violence).
Aware: informed; alert; knowledgeable; having knowledge; conscious; cognizant.
Environmental: of or relating to the totality of things, conditions, influences, cultural forces, etc., that surround and shape the life of a person or a population.
Honor; culture; group dynamics; personal and social belief systems; group/social rules/laws; etc!
There are variables and variations and concepts governing the ability to have, understand and apply practical situational awareness.

Awareness is also about your awareness as to your actions before, during and after an incident. For instance, an awareness and understanding of consequences of words and actions before using skills to the medical, legal and social repercussions should you use said skills to the consequences of legal criminal and civil actions as a result of using self-defense as defense criminally and civilly.
It’s all about leading off with academia to achieve knowledge that takes one to an understanding that is practically applied so one can avoid, escape and evade or deal with repercussions and consequences in the event legal/social proceedings are triggered.
