I have written about peripheral vision but need to clarify that this vision is used to scan and detect danger in an environment but when it comes to the close encounter that can be the fight the direct vision is superior. Your reactions will be quicker when you see, the mind sees, the action and this also means to my view that using vision with peripheral to detect in the environment changes as a threat enters closer to and within your safety zone.
If I alluded to the wrong concept in previous posts make the change if you have not already through trial and error experimentation - you know, making it work in training :-)
You will have a natural tendency to detect anomalies using peripheral but the mind will automatically cause your head to turn and the eyes to lock on to determine if the threat is real or imagined.
