Given the current world climate I felt it aprapo to give homage to our lovely blue ball for all she gave us and hopefully let her know that when oue ecosystem triggers mother nature's survival instincts and sheds her surface of the human virus, it's own pandemic, she can start again and leave humans out of the equation.
Today, we gather in mourning, in reverence, and in reflection to honor the passing of our only home—Earth. She was more than just a planet; she was a mother, a cradle of life, and the silent witness to every moment of human history.
For billions of years, she nurtured life in all its forms. She painted landscapes of staggering beauty—mountains that touched the sky, forests that whispered with the wind, and oceans that breathed with the rhythm of the moon. She bore the weight of time, adapting, evolving, and enduring through ice and fire. In her embrace, civilizations rose and fell, stories were written in the currents of her rivers, and generations found meaning beneath her endless skies.
She gave us everything—air to fill our lungs, water to sustain us, and land to root our dreams. She was patient, forgiving even when we were reckless. But like all things, she, too, had limits. She warned us in storms, in droughts, in rising tides, in forests turned to ash. And yet, too often, we did not listen.
Now, as we stand in the shadow of what was, we do not merely mourn her loss—we mourn what we could have been. We mourn the choices unmade, the lessons unlearned, the love unreturned. Earth did not fail us; we failed her.
Yet, if she has taught us anything, it is that life is resilient. Even in endings, there is transformation. Perhaps in her memory, we will find the wisdom we lacked in her presence. Perhaps, through this loss, we will learn what it truly means to cherish, to protect, to live in harmony rather than conquest.
Let us not only grieve but remember. Let us carry forward the echoes of her rivers, the hum of her forests, the sigh of her winds. Let us be the legacy she deserves.
Farewell, dear Earth. You were our home, our haven, our heart. We honor you not just in words but in the promise that we will not forget.
