Getting better and achieving success in applying reality-based practical methodologies!
Perfection as a goal seems inappropriate because, and I quote, “perfection refers to a set of self-defeating thoughts and behaviors aimed at reaching excessively high unrealistic goals. Perfection is often mistakenly seen in society as desirable and necessary for success.”
To succeed is to continually move forward on your chosen path, to change successfully when appropriate to your goals and objectives and to be confident in your choices of change.
Wabi-sabi, is a concept, “wabi-sabi is a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of appreciating beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete" in nature.”
Accept the perfection of imperfection because it is in nature’s DNA 🧬, so to speak.
In short, “if you are better today than yesterday, you are a success!”
Let perfection go and embrace change, success and being better today than yesterday!
Note: the keystone to change is to “challenge yourself!” Jibun ni chōsen suru [自分に挑戦する]
