What is meant by this? The only concept I can see that would help understand this phrase is a group dynamic in a volatile situation. But that would be simplistic because a collective rage, in this case, is a result of the changes required for human survival in the face of that swift, silent and deadly invisible adversary, "the virus."
Let's be clear, it is a lot more than merely this one virus, covid-19, because there is a whole slew of little invisible dangerous buggers out there in the world simply existing in a state of suspended animation until the state of balance that is nature goes askew, again. Yes, again, because if you read the wonderful book titled, "The Coming Plague" by Laurie Garrett you will begin to understand that we don't kill or eliminate such things, we just achieve a balance that puts them into a suspended state - waiting patiently until a crack in the balance appears so they may spring forth to cull the herd, so to speak, until balance returns to the force, I mean nature.
Once you understand that a collective rage is a product of the changes that are necessary to return the balance in the force, nature that is, you begin to realize and visualize that what we do now matters to our very survival when "The Rage" begins to flourish. Yes, flourish, because that rage is already upon us but at a size and rate that has not garnered the appropriate attention it deserves for survival.
The Rage is a violent and uncontrollable anger that literally blocks our logical human mind completely so that our angry lizard/limbic brain can run rampant on whomever may be in the path of the tsunami of rage that is triggered. So, what is a "collective rage" in my perception?
- Unpredictable;
- Unbridled;
- Extreme violence;
- Stir-crazy-rage;
- No social and moral basis;
- No rhyme or reason for its source and triggers;
- Not about right or wrong, just blind rage;
A way that I see it, is like a nuclear weapon. In the past we had what some would refer to as "backpack nukes." Take a look at the attached picture, this is what some of them looked like. The following description is how I perceive anger, aggression and rage through a visualization of this device.
First, the safety and security in these devices are strong. We as normal social moral beings have a strong sense of right and wrong along with social and moral -morals. This cultural belief is our strong security and safety from the very animalistic lizard/limbic survival instincts nature provided us for survival.
Second, in order to lose control of such devices it requires taking a variety of steps and the removal of a variety of safety obstacles to let it run loose and made available for possible detonation. Let's say the steps necessary to release the trigger mechanism are those acts that take us through the stages of frustration, irritation, contemptibility, anger.
Third, these devices require certain steps to activate the triggering device. Let's visualize that we humans go through certain steps as described above that expose the possible triggering of rage. You have to put in a code, if that code is input you get frustration and irritation. The trigger is now active.
Fourth, then we have to trip that trigger and it takes the step that goes from irritation to contemptibility, i.e., that frustration and irritation and contempt we accumulate over time that sets the trigger to active where any slight, any facial expression or any act no matter how trivial will start the ignition process of nuclear release. This is that point where our anger at things simmers and boils and steams up so when the process of release is achieved we get, a sudden, blinding and explosive release of nuclear energy, fire, overpressure, shock wave, thermal effects and a plethora of fragments, debris and missiles, i.e., what ever effects we achieve be it physical of through the use of devices, tools and weapons.
When that moment is triggered and the collective blind stir-crazy rage is released it is and can be visualized much like that instant when a nuclear device explodes. Let's say we have every human being out there experiencing those frustrations, irritations and angers due to the effects of social dysfunctions with leaders, representatives and professional experts along with dealing with the loss of our comforts of social life, etc., when suddenly, as we sit on the precipice of that edge that drops us into the deep, bottomless chasm of collective blind rage when the touch of a feather on a slight breeze pushes many of us over the edge into the dark depth of a black hole, passing that event horizon, that releases the blinding, fire breathe and shock wave of rage and violence.
This should provide you the ability to visualize what will happen if things are not accepted and embraced, the changes we all have to accept and deal with and DO to remain safe, secure and healthy in these dangerous and trying times of the "Virus" or better described as "The Contagion and Rage."
The Rage is real, we are already experiencing it on a very small scale and it is easy to see that escalating into a large scale "Collective Rage" of emotions and actions that will devastate societies all over the globe unless we find a way to control and suppress those contagions and emotions and effects.
What can we do NOW, to prepare ourselves for all those aftereffects such as radiation and its sicknesses, "In self-protection for self-defense we find that the only fool-proof way to deal with collective rage is AVOIDANCE, so we as professionals can visualize just how critically important the concept and training of “comfort/discomfort” observation, detection, decision and action of avoidance/escape-n-evasion becomes."
