Yes, I am opinionated. I know it and it comes through on some or maybe most of my postings and writings. I hope I am open-minded enough tho to change my opinions when the truth hits me in the face but I am also human so it may take a two-by-four to get some things through my thick skull.
I have to say that the influences of other writers and bloggers has opened my eyes a bit more and for that I am grateful. I also an grateful to those who provide comments which often, more so than not, provide new insight and idea's that motivate the heck out of me.
I am trying to change the way I put forth my opinions so they don't seem as opinionated which can be off putting or just plain irritating to others. I do recognize at times that my comments can be a bit perceptively off but then again that is the real meat of communications, i.e. to have discussions that go back and forth until clarity and mutual understanding is achieved.
The goal here is to not allow emotional urges to color the comments making for a type of conflict - called a flame war. It is more productive to communicate differences in a way that is conducive to receptivity so that both or all parties fully and completely understand meaning in spite of our human frailty to filter information and communications through our perceptions, etc.
Communications, ain't it a bit#$?
