Inspire: to produce or arouse or fill with an animating, quickening, or exalting influence.


Sensei [先生] is defined as “one who comes before,” and is assumed to imply one with experience beyond others in a discipline, subject, knowledge, understanding in said subject, and experience of same. It can be a doctor, or teacher, or martial art sensei, etc.


The best of us can teach and instruct yet a chosen few of character and personality are able to inspire our deshi.


Deshi (弟子): means a disciple, a reverent follower, an apprentice, the disciple of the sensei (master).
