I'm close, to having my self-made pushup bars ready to test. This came about over the discussions on challenge and chinkuchi pushup bars. I need to make one more step, i.e., punch to mark the spot to drill, drill the holes, tap the holes for the bolt then use tape to cover the threads to avoid cutting the fingers and hands. When done, the carriage bolts, that have a slightly rounded head on them as you already see in the picture, then can be bolted into the handles, made from short steel piping for various plumbing needs.
When done, I plan on testing them about in comparison to my version of the proverbial, magical thinking, chinkuchi bars. It will be an interesting test to see which actually provide a better stabilizing-strength push up with the focus that is provide by such challenge pushup devices.
