The Self-Protection Litmus Test

The following five, at a minimum, must be achieved to teach, learn and apply self-protection:
  1. You must be able to act.
  2. You must stop the attack(er).
  3. You must be cleared of all criminal charges.
  4. You must “win” in civil court.
  5. You must be able to emotionally handle the aftermath.
Do these five, minimally, get addressed in your self-protection program? In order to be prepared for the inevitable aftermath of using self-defense and its legal system defense you need to prepare, at minimum, for all five. When it happens you had better have a plan, be prepared and accept the facts of self-defense.
