Well, there are always a variety of answers but today I came across a phrase that, to me, describes what "it" is, "A path of strenuous and unremitting commitment." Now, as to what that means is strictly according to a persons perceptions, cultural influences and personal beliefs. I am sure there are many variations going through the minds of readers - wonderful!
