Sensei are really people who are fallible and prone to error, etc. This is just a fact of life. Experts in general are also not infallible and often are biased in their expertise. This is also a fact of life. Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone has to remain open-minded to the possibility that what they perceive and think and think they know is not exactly accurate, factual or even real.
It is becoming more accepted that one who holds the title "Sensei" is one who has all the answers and can never be wrong - well, that is just plain wrong. Actually in my limited experience most sensei are not even qualified to teach the system let alone be the all knowing high mucky much knowledgable "guru" of the system.
The Sensei is not the last stop in any system of martial art let alone any discipline in life. Some can come very close to being or having mastery of a system but most never get there. I have met and I know of some high ranked martial artists who have no real clue at all of the true essence of the system they practice. They tend to think having a bunch of trophies, titles and various accolades from various sources like associations make them masters and the end all of the system - like up on a pedestal, NOT.
We are all human. We are all subject to errors and omissions. It is a fact of life as we know it. Ego, pride, get a handle on it already.
